On May 4, Hillary Clinton was a guest on ABC’s “This Week.” She threw down the gauntlet, declaring: “I'm not going to put my lot in with economists.”
Golly. Should I, as an economist, be offended?
Of course not.
It’s hard to think of a policy proposal from Clinton over the years that has made any real economic sense – from health care to taxes. Senator Clinton apparently has never thrown in with economists before, so why should the waning days of the Democratic presidential primary/caucus process be any different?
