Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney keeps insisting that the big government health care measure he pushed and signed into law in 2006 was a good and “conservative” idea. Nothing could be further from the truth. In reality, RomneyCare is clear forerunner to ObamaCare.
I wrote about this when RomneyCare was first passed – “Romney and the Health Insurance Mandate.”
I also offered an assessment in March last year – “Massachusetts’ Health Care Mess.”
And Grace Marie-Turner, president of the Galen Institute, has an excellent piece in the March 17 Wall Street Journal titled “The Failure of RomneyCare,” providing an update on how things have gone awry in Massachusetts.
