Congressman Darrell Issa (R-CA), Chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, has launched www.AmericanJobCreators.com, to listen to the personal stories of America’s job creators about how government impacts job creation.
“Americans have a right to an efficient, effective government that works for them. American job creators deserve the opportunity to succeed and grow here in the United States. Government should deliver predictability, letting innovators deliver results,” Chairman Issa says in a video launching the initiative.
Chairman Issa believes that in order “to get our job right” both he and Committee members need to hear from small business owners. When you visit the American Jobs Creators site, you can share your personal experience and ideas for reform. “We're listening,” says Chairman Issa.
“For nearly 30 years, I've run a small business, signed the fronts of paychecks, and created jobs and opportunity for my employees,” Issa concludes the video by saying. “We're applying my lessons learned - and the experience of Congressional Democrats, Republicans and the people we serve - to find a balanced approach to Washington's role in the lives of American job creators today, and in the future.

SBE Council encourages small business owners to share thier experiences through this new tool. “Business owners and entrepreneurs can now bring their challenges and ideas directly to Chairman Issa. This is a fantastic opportunity for the business community to connect with the committee charged with federal government oversight and reform,” said SBE Council President & CEO Karen Kerrigan.
“More significantly, Chairman Issa is committed to putting feedback into action – that is, he will use the information to advance reforms that will improve the environment for job creation, entrepreneurship and investment,” added Kerrigan.

I run a Veteran owned Small Business called Pugh Associates, LLC. We specialize in US Navy Ship Combat System Engineering. I currently have 10 engineers and logisticians affiliated with my company, that are mainly retired from other companies and have their own health insurance. I am not going to hire engineers that dont have health benefits already, because Obamacare requires me to provide health insurance for them. This will cause my rates to go up and complicate managing my small company. I will need to pay an attorney and a benefits coordinator to make this happen, which adds more cost on top of health insurance costs.
