Karen Kerrigan and Andrew Sherman will update entrepreneurs on the status of critical issues, and the direction of major policy between now and the end of the year.

Policy and Legislative Update: The GOP majority has settled in at the U.S. House. Meanwhile, dynamics in the U.S. Senate continue to evolve as Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) works to balance competing interests among his own Democrat colleagues - and the GOP -- while he also looks ahead to the 2012 elections. President Obama is mixing things up too, criss-crossing the country this week to tout his deficit-cutting plan to reform entitlement spending, but raise taxes on higher-income earners ( which includes entrepreneurs and small business owners). There was a flurry of legislative activity last week (1099 repeal, nullification of EPA GHG regulation in the House, a budget deal, a House vote on the Ryan budget) with much more to come, but what legislation will be signed by President Obama?

In our Update from THE Hill segment, we will cover taxes, regulation, Dodd-Frank and health care law implementation. Kerrigan will give a comprehensive run-down on other pending initiatives that could raise small business costs. She will also provide an update on efforts to reform outdated regulations that are hurting capital access, and provide insight into the great tax and budget debate.

Increasing Business Revenues: Having spent a fair amount of time abroad over the past several months, Sherman will discuss opportunities for generating new business from overseas markets. Sherman will also be prepared to answer your questions about revenue generating strategies at home, and general business concerns or questions you may have. Sherman will cover:

• Global growth opportunities for small and growing companies

• How to target the right markets and the myth of the BRIC

• Current trends, challenges and resources

• Common mistakes and pitfalls
