Chief economist Ray Keating was one of 313 economists (including a Nobel laureate) who signed a letter to Congress urging the extension of all provisions of the 2001 and 2003 tax relief measures.
The letter noted that failing to extend these measures would amount to "a profound and damaging 'anti-stimulus.'"
